Joint Research Advancement Programme (JRAP)
Since 2023, Nagoya University and the University of Freiburg have jointly tendered an annual seed fund supporting up to two collaborative research projects.
Collaborators from all fields may apply. Funding is awarded following a competitive selection process, for a period of one year (following the Japanese fiscal year, from April to March).

YAS/YLC Associate Fellowships for Sustainability Research
The University of Freiburg’s Young Academy for Sustainability Research (YAS) , together with Nagoya University’s Young Leadership Cultivation Program (YLC) periodically offer joint associate fellowships for early-career scientists in the interdisciplinary field of Sustainability Research.
Fellowships are awarded following a competitive selection process, and fund research stays of up to one month at the host institution over the period of two years (one stay per year).
